What is AMEX Membership Month and what deals can I get?

Good news for American Express members - it’s August, which is AMEX Membership Month for 2022!

AMEX offers some of the most well-known rewards cards in Australia, but this month sees extra special deals from shopping to travel.

What is AMEX Membership Month?

Alongside the standard American Express rewards program, the month of August will see offers rolled out across travel, shopping, wellness, and dining.

Throughout the month, there is also a special offer for AMEX members adding an additional cardholder. Eligible members will receive 5,000 bonus points for adding a 1st additional cardholder.

What bonuses are there for AMEX Membership Month?

Dining - Get 15% back each time you pay with AMEX at selected partners. Full list is available here but includes:

  • RedBalloon: 10% bonus on gift cards (offer valid from 4/8/22 to 17/8/22)
  • Amazon.com: 5% bonus on gift cards (offer valid from 18/8/22 to 31/8/22, vouchers can only be purchased in multiples of $100)
  • Gourmet Traveller: 10% bonus on gift cards (offer valid from 18/8/22 to 31/8/22)
